How is this different from internships?
Internship
- Provides hands-on experience with real world problems under company guidance
- Expects the Intern to be hired
- Does not connect to an academic course, training, mentosrhip or ongoing academic evaluation.
Capstone Program
- It is a required course for all seniors in the YWCC college, and it blends academic training with real-world experiences.
- Allows students demonstrate the knowledge and skills that they have acquired towards a project within this carefully designed learning environment.
- Students work for the industry sponsor as Agile teams with course training, mentorship, and ongoing support. It enables students to receive quantitative assessment toward grades.
- Showcases problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge through ongoing presentations.
- Ability to test new talent before they get in the job market.
