Become a Sponsor

Why should you sponsor?

Three times a year, several large organizations, research institutes and entrepreneurial ventures partner with NJIT students to explore the latest in technology, develop proof of concept solutions and implement cutting edge technology on pilot projects. NJIT students work with sponsors to improve existing business processes or implement new strategies. We invite you to join this group of dynamic and tech savvy companies as a sponsor.

How it works

  • Engage a team of 3-5 well-trained and talented students who will work on your project for at least 12 weeks.
  • A student project manager will be assigned to your project.
  • Your student group will receive mentorship, training and support from the Capstone Executive team.
  • You will receive periodic feedback every 2 weeks from your group and they will make any course corrections as needed.
  • Capstone students approach each project with a defined problem solving process and well-documented solutions.
  • You will receive ongoing support beyond the completion of your project.

Why NJIT?

New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) was founded in 1881 as the Newark Technical School, becoming the Newark College of Engineering in 1930.

NJIT has evolved from a commuter school teaching applied engineering skills to a nationally ranked public research university. In early 2018, Forbes ranked NJIT #1 among their Best Value Colleges for student economic upward mobility.

NJIT is one of the top 10 colleges in the nation with great career services. NJIT ranked fourth among public institutions with a strong combination of well-staffed career centers and young alumni who go on to earn higher-than-average early career salaries. – Money Magazine

The university’s multidisciplinary curriculum and computing-intensive approach to education provide the technological proficiency, business know-how, and leadership skills that future CEOs and entrepreneurs will need to succeed. With an enrollment of over 11,400 undergraduate and graduate students, NJIT offers small-campus intimacy with the resources of a major public research university.
